I am beyond grateful and so lucky to be surrounded by so many incredible loved ones. My Mom and sister truly spoiled me for my birthday. Check out my dining room! Can you believe the setup they created for me to celebrate my birthday? The pictures do not do it justice. I have just started getting into fantasy books so naturally I am now dragon obsessed. Have you seen a cooler cake? Look how the candles flames glow the same colors as the candle itself. And could there be a more perfect cake topper? Do you think dragons reading about humans is their version of fantasy? They both took the day off of work to make me a delicious breakfast and spend time with me even though I had to work. My entire birthday was magical and I don’t take for granted how lucky I am to have them. I can only imagine how special a little one’s birthday celebration is going to be in the future. We do love to celebrate birthdays around here.

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators and the importance of reading. There are over 100 countries celebrating World Book Day! According to researchers, children who love reading are not only good readers, but they tend to develop a broader vocabulary and understand other cultures easily. I attribute my love of reading to my Mom and I can’t wait to share my love of reading with a little one. I’m already filling bookshelves with children’s books just waiting for the opportunity to snuggle in for story time.
